Your words are venomous
I took for granted,
Your eyes I like the most
They are so empty…
Come take my hand
Let everybody see us going down in a slow-mo agony
Scar me, darling
Should I pray your gods or beg your demons
To resurrect the hundreds of my fears?
Will you stay with me until the curtain
Drops and fades to subcutaneous filth?
We’ve shed the slough down
invisible for all
We can breathe again!
We’d better stop this now
If only we could…
Your words are venomous
I took for granted,
Your eyes I like the most
They are so empty…
Don’t lose your grip
Else you will never find me. Like a leaf once falls down from the tree
Scar me, darling
Sundog is glaring over you
Desolation it radiates!
Burn me out!
Do it once again!
Should I pray your gods or beg your demons
To resurrect the hundreds of my fears?
Will you stay with me until the curtain
Drops and fades to subcutaneous filth?
I’ve got the silent force now
Free from desires under my skin
I’ve never felt this cold and dry
You’ve nailed me in the past
Down
That’s who we are
Or who we might have been
Our hearts are blind
But only they can show the right way
Her words were venomous
I took for granted,
Her eyes I liked the most
They were so empty…
Quite possibly the most full-on album I've ever listened to. Intense, and then some. 'Digital Tarpit' could describe both the track and the whole album: high-pitched guitar squeals that make your fillings itch coupled with merciless, suffocating heaviness. The Avenell-esque vocals top it off perfectly.
Brilliant - punishing, but brilliant. jim_fuego
This is probably my favorite progressive metal album ever. I could have sworn I already bought it but I must have gotten it when it was free instead. Sylnox
One of the best modern prog metal groups out there... Even their freshmen years were absolutely fantastic... Great EP... One of the only bands I'm truly saddened by, knowing I don't have their music on vinyl... "hint, hint" enemyofthenight
Midwestern prog-metal stalwarts go for the throat on their new EP, featuring a roiling cover of the Smashing Pumpkins' “1979.” Bandcamp New & Notable Aug 7, 2019
